HOAMCO’s Architectural Review Department works directly with Architectural Review Committees established by homeowners associations to maintain the integrity and character of their community.

Administration
HOAMCO Architectural professionals provide knowledgeable, effective direction, advice and services necessary to review, administer and enhance the operation and processes of architectural review for homeowners associations. Our department, including HOAMCO’s in-house architect, will work closely with your Board of Directors, committees, homeowners, and other designated parties to develop and maintain the programs for architectural review that will work most effectively for your community. In addition to the parties within your community, we work with the architects and builders to streamline the building process.
Not everyone who lives within an HOA has been through the Architectural process and it can be overwhelming at times. That’s where we can come in and help explain the process and get the applicant moving in the right direction quickly and efficiently.
Design guidelines
When an association’s design guidelines need to be updated or even created from scratch, HOAMCO’s Architectural Department can help formulate, update, and implement architectural design guidelines. When updating guidelines, HOAMCO reviews current guidelines against CC&R’s to ensure they are compatible, and when not, recommends adjustments. When creating design guidelines from scratch, HOAMCO uses CC&R’s as a starting point to develop standards that guide construction and maintain the integrity and character of the community. HOAMCO also stays current on legislation regulating the architectural review industry to make sure all design guidelines remain up to date.

Architectural reviews are a comprehensive examination of blueprints, PDF house plans, and design plans to make sure all new construction projects, major additions and/or exterior modifications comply with community guidelines set by the homeowners association. To obtain approval, elements of the plan must meet all community design requirements and be compatible with the surrounding neighborhood.
What it comes down to is it’s our job to make sure all applications that come through are handled professionally. We want to make sure that the Design guidelines and CC&R’s are followed on every review to help keep the Community appearance at its highest level.
